Pigment Red 49:1 is manufactured by 2-Aminonaphthalene-1-sulfonic acid diazotization, and Naphthalen-2-ol coupling, and then into barium salt. Pigment Red 49:1 red, shallow blue light pink. Slightly soluble in hot water and ethanol, slightly soluble in acetone. In concentrated sulfuric acid to red light purple, purple red after diluted solution, and then have red brown precipitation; In concentrated nitric acid for brown light red solution; Slightly soluble in sodium hydroxide solution. Dye ethanol solution to join concentrated hydrochloric acid for brown light purple; Add sodium hydroxide colour constant. Pigment Rd 49:1 is a transparent blue shade red pigment with low viscosity and excellent tinting strength. Heat Stability of Pigment Red 49:1 is stable at 127 degrees of heat.
